The Three Little Fashionista’s

The Story of the Three Little Fashionista’s:

Miss Beige: The first little fashionista, built her style on the fear of being noticed, not wanting undo attention, wanting to blend in. She is very beige. Wanting to be comfortable is more important than how she looks. She either doesn’t know what her style is, or could be, or doesn’t care. Her style was built on too little:

Color in her wardrobe
Shape in her clothes
Makeup
Accessorizing
Limp shapeless hair

Miss Vixen: The second little fashionista built her style on wanting to be noticed, always.  Looking young, hip and sexy is her main focus. She believes that the more skin you show, the more makeup you wear and the tighter your clothes are, the sexier you are. Her style was built on too much:

Cleavage/leg/back showing
Jewelry – bigger and more is better
Makeup –  bright, with several coats
Hair –  big, colorful, lots of product

Ms Put Together: The third little fashionista knows her shape and style and the colors that work best on her. She is confident and secure in who she is. She has the tools to shop for her perfect wardrobe. She has an organized closet and wears everything in it. She knows how she wants to be perceived in the world. When she walks into a room there is only admiration. She knows what hairstyles and makeup application bring out her best assets. She is put together and her style is just right.

In looking at your fashion style can you relate, even partially, to any of the above fashionista’s? We are not always in one camp, but can have parts of each. One day we are very beige and frumpy and then we go to a party and wear something that may be too tight or too short and try to just make it work because we just don’t know what else to do.
I strive every day to build the tools to be in the Ms. Put Together camp. Here is a quote from my mom: “Every day is a costume party”. Taking the time to figure out what our best look is makes getting dressed every day FUN!
